Day 7

The Honours Seminar kicked off today, in startlingly difficult fashion. The professor decided to start us with a rather complicated paper attempting to refute the claim that deductive logic is somehow 'better' than inductive logic. The 3 or so logic students (out of 15) talked their heads off, while the rest of us just sat there.

I'm getting back into chess these days. After a few hours working with the Chessmaster 9000 (computer program) tutorials I gained a new appreciation for the game. Time is the only real problem.

Ditto for piano. The just isn't enough time for everything.

On an unrelated note, what's the deal with Japan these days? I mean, I don't want to assume anything, but pop culture over there is really wacky... between the reality television shows (MXC, anyone?), life-like robots of various sorts, and "tentacle porn" animations, I'm just not sure what to think.
