It's weird that those who believe in an afterlife are typically those who also hold more absolutist positions on the value of our lives here on earth, regarding things such as abortion and euthanasia. Wheras those who do not believe in an afterlife whatsoever more often tend to hold less absolutist positions regarding the value of our mortal time, favouring stances in favour of abortion rights and right-to-die legislations.
You'd think that it would be the other way around.
