Day 74
It is time for an experiment. I am of the mind that weight problems in north america are attributed to diet far too often, and lack of exercise not nearly often enough. Obviously, both are causal factors, but exercise I believe can, as it were, untip the scale even with an unhealthy diet.
I'm a big guy right now. Someone just sent me pictures from about two years ago, when I weighed about 30 pounds less, and I looked much more healthy then. And, since I like my diet just the way it is (yes, in all it's cheesy, nutella-y, ice-creamy goodness), exercise will be the route of attack. I'd rather experience both pleasure and penance, than neither.
Starting this day, day 74, I will, every single day, either : workout at the gym, hike, or jog. Or, do something similarly good for the cardiovascular system. Sex might count.
Every day, no exceptions. If I can sit on my behind writing a blog entry every day (many of which take a lot more time than it does to run around the block), I can find time to get off my behind and run it around for a little while.
So, consider this day one.
Updates will follow, but only small ones, because I know that they're uninteresting to absolutely everybody on Earth but myself.

Comments
I think that only IF a hefty supply of exercise fails to help a person lose weight should their diet endure any change.
Most of our lifestyle choices when it comes to food could easily be equated out with the right exercise-- something as minor as briskly walking is sufficient for some people into having their body start metabolizing fat instead of just sugars, whereas more intense cardio, such as jogging, running and hiking, is required for others.
Best of luck!
