Day 144
Sometimes I come across a debate in the public sphere whose right outcome is almost unbelievably obvious.
Look at the privatization of health care. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I do have some understanding of capitalism and the corporate maxim of growth or death. No compay, ever, would specialize in creating consumers who no longer need its products, for that would ruin the company. Pharmaceutical companies can't make a corporate strategy arund producing healthy independent people, for if they did, they'd run out of consumers to purchase their products. Health care, therefore, cannot by its very definition align itself with the profit-centric world of capitalism.
