Day 178

Sometimes I try to think of how much of our lives are spend doing "worthwhile things" Subtract a full third for sleeping, and countless more hours altogether doing little activities of'preparation' for the real living: working (making money to buy things), getting dressed, doing laundry, cleaning, shopping, other chores, shaving, showering, clipping nails, checking email, organizing, planning, balancing cheques, paying bills, making obligatory phone calls, cooking...

The list goes on. Where does the living happen?

For some people that is all of life. People call me lazy, or unkept, or slobby (though I do shower every day!) because I avoid these prepatory activities, but I really do not think that's the reason.
