I've never really had a steady 9-5 job before, until now here in Korea. All my past jobs have been either part-time or have been scheduled for unusual hours. Now that I'm part of the standard workforce, I have a question for all the other people who've been in it a long time:

When in God's name do you go to the bank? I've needed to do it for, like, a month now.

On your lunch break.

No can do! Lunch is only 40 minutes and the school is driving distance from any bank. Plus they have a good cafeteria lunch that isn't missable.

Oh no! That sucks. No banking for Jared.

It's tragic. And only the hand of God could help me through the Korean-language online banking system.

Take a sick day and go to the bank. Don't laugh - people really do this. OK, you're laughing...what do the other English teachers do?

We don't get alloted sick days. If I claim to be sick, they send an employee to my house to escort me to a doctor. In Korea, people are just expected to come to work with colds!

Change banks? ...some banks have later hours than others...or find a bank with an English option on its website?

BTW - lol about the Korean employers' reactions to calling in sick! Imagine if employers tried that here!
