A couple of months ago I deleted over 200 people from my facebook friend list, leaving only people who I think represent my real-life family and social circle. I invited everyone I know to follow in my footsteps.
Well, a few people said it was a good idea, but nobody seemed to follow.
Anyway, my next big move, which I hope everybody emulates, is this: I have completely stopped looking at the comment sections of every website I visit, excepting only the blogs of people I know, and this site of course.
This applies especially to youtube.
Honestly, I can't read youtube comments for more than 30 seconds without losing a few IQ points strait up. It's like watching Flavor of Love in terms of eroding a viewer's higher functions.

If you're involved in politics, some clubs, or other social organizations facebook is about business, not friendship. Friendship is for real life, not social networking sites.
